Start a player research session

Choose a sport and market, inspect a player, and understand the context behind the numbers.

Set the context first

A result that looks surprising is often using a different sample, threshold, or matchup than expected. Confirm those selections before comparing two views.

  1. Open Models or Trends and choose the sport you want to research.
  2. Check the selected date or week, matchup, and market. The available controls depend on the sport.
  3. Search for a player or narrow the board with the available filters.
  4. Open the player’s research view to inspect the underlying game sample and comparison line.

Read the units and labels

A projection is expressed in the market’s units, such as yards or points. Historical rates describe the displayed eligible games. A research rating orders profiles on its stated scale; it is not automatically a probability.

When you change a comparison line, you are changing the threshold used to read the data. That does not create a posted sportsbook offer. Check whether the price or line is labeled posted, recorded, or manually entered.

Check evidence before drawing conclusions

Use the game log, sample count, retrieval time, and any Model & evidence, Data & methodology, or Source receipts section offered by the current view. A dash means the value is unavailable, not zero.

If the page has no matching players, broaden one filter at a time. If a source is unavailable, preserve the page URL and selected context when reporting the issue.
